Ah-Yu, just out of prison, travels to Kaoshiung to stay with her former cellmate, Anne. Depressed and closed off from the world, Ah-Yu meets two very different men: one a businessman, seemingly charming and mature; the other a young factory supervisor with a promising future. She begins short-lived affairs with both, but neither man gives her what she needs. Only upon returning to Anne’s home does she begin to unravel her tangled feelings. Blue Cha-cha is an illuminating and disquieting love-story.
